My current duties are:
• Clinical duties: medical team leader looking after patients with acute geriatric conditions. This also includes consultation, family meetings, and working with other disciplines.
• Leading Fall prevention service. This includes weekly falls prevention clinics, working with the rehabilitation team, and community awareness. We aim to develop the National Falls Prevention Program at four levels: tertiary, secondary, and primary healthcare settings and in the community.
• Leading educational program and weekly department meetings, also including participation in scheduled departmental meetings. I set up a rotation for all the geriatrician doctors, therapists, and nurses. The program has a regular journal club, mortality & morbidity, guideline watch, case-based discussion, audits, and didactic lecture].
• Educational supervisor for a clinical fellow, and clinical supervisor for the acute geriatric team.
