Prof. Dr. Evgeny Solomin is the Head of the “Alternative Energy” International research group focusing in the design, development and commercializing of the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) based Power Plants. Prof. Solomin has worked with a number of highly recognized international Institutions such as the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Wayne State University, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, University of Padova, etc. Prof. Solomin’s main area of research is in the field of Wind and Solar Power, focusing on the design and development of a new and unique components and hybrid Power Plants configurations as well as the sociological and economical evaluation of renewable energy potentials. He is leading in the World design and development of Small Vertical Axis Wind Turbines and RES based Small Hybrid Wind-Solar Power Plants, a field where he has contributed 200+ publications, 40+ patents and a number of technological know-hows.
