Dr. Golnar Rahimzadeh has completed her PhD at the age of 38 years at Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, Sari, Iran and postdoctoral studies from Pediatric Infectious Diseases Research Center, Communicable Diseases Institute, Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, Sari, Iran. She is the Assistant Professor at Pediatric Infectious Diseases Research Center, Communicable Diseases Institute, Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences and technical assistant of Pediatric Infectious Diseases Research Center Lab and Stem Cell Cord Blood Bank at Sari Birth Cohort Center. She was Executive Secretary of the 2nd National Congress for the Promotion of Child Health (20-22 Oct 2021). She has published 24 papers in reputed journals and has registered 5 national patents, and one international patent (WO 2019/ 162972 A1).
Her research focuses on isolation and characterization of bacteriophages and phage therapy, manufacture of phage products such as phage gel for healing wound, phage eye drop to treat of keratoconjuctivites, phage cocktail syrup to treat diarrhea, and assay nosocomial infections and detection of MDR bacteria with multiplex PCR method. Other her ttechnical proficiencycan be mentioned to isolation and Freezing of Stem Cells from Cord Blood in Sari Birth Cohort Center. She worked in Royan Institute for 4 years.
