Carlos Hiroo Saito, biologist and system analyst, has completed his PhD in Geography (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) and postdoctoral researches at Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD), in France.
He is full professor at the University of Brasilia (Department of Ecology/Institute of Biological Sciences, and Center for Sustainable Development) and the Chair of the Global Water Partnership-South America.
He has published more than 300 papers in reputed journals under interdisciplinary approach, and has been serving as the co-editor in chief of the Sustainability in Debate.
