Yang Luo

City University of Hong Kong

Yang Luo received his double Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Technology from the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences and in Applied Physics from City University of Hong Kong in 2020. He is particularly interested in researching 2D materials for environmental and energy applications, green chemical and electrocatalytic processes, nanomaterial modification and compounding, and novel nanomaterial-based devices. He has completed previous postdoctoral research at the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Productivity Council, and Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa). He is currently a Senior Scientist at ETH Zürich working in the lab of Prof. Markus Niederberger. He was awarded the Innovation & Technology Fund of the Hong Kong Government (2020), Outstanding Individual of Beijing (2020) and National Scholarships of China (2019 and 2012). He has published 60 papers in high-impact journals including ACS Nano, Advanced Functional Materials, SmartMat, Nano Energy, Advanced Science, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Chemical Engineering Journal, etc. He has an h-index of 20, and total citations of >1000.
