Dr. Özgür AltınbaÅŸ is a cardiovascular surgeon and trainee lawyer and working as an Asst. Prof. Dr. in Gaziantep University / Türkiye. He also performs master with thesis in the area of public law at the same university. He received his M.D. degree from Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine, Ä°zmir/ Türkiye in 1998. After working in different steps in primary care units and emergency services he completed the training of cardiovascular surgery at Meram Medical Faculty, Konya, Türkiye in 2012. He experienced a medical mission via Turkish Ministery of Health in Nyala/ Sudan during internal war for 3.5 months. He has 32 international and national articles, more than 50 presentations, more than 30 citations and 3 international book chapters. His major research and operation areas are diseases of carotid artery and various veins. Beside studies in the cardiovascular area he also involved in a project as a trainer subjected the legal rights of the health of the prisoners established by Turkish Law of Ministry and European Council in Ä°stanbul/Türkiye, in 2022. He is a member of Turkish Society of Cardiovascular Surgery and Society of National Vascular and Endovascular Surgery.
