Viktor Culic is Clinical Cardiologist at University Hospital Center Split and Associate Professor at the University of Split School of Medicine, Split, Croatia. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine in 1996. He obtained additional postgraduate education in Sports Medicine and earned M.Sc. and Ph.D. at the University of Split School of Medicine. His research interests cover everyday life triggers and chronobiology of acute cardiac events, and the role of hormones in the heart failure syndrome. He received six awards for his scientific work, and serves as an Editorial Board member of five international cardiovascular journals. He served as the Head of the Department of Scientific Research and Clinical Drug Testing, University Hospital Center Split, Croatia. He has published more than 130 scientific publications, including journal articles, and Internal Medicine and Cardiology textbook chapters, having more than 1600 citations, I10 index 33 and H index 18.
