Wenchuan Ding is a professor in Department of Environmental Engineering at Chongqing University. He earned his Ph.D and B.S. degree in Municipal Engineering at Chongqing University. His M.S. (Environmental Science) degree was received from WuhanNanjing University in China. Ding's research mainly lies in water pollution control and solid waste management. It spans a broad range of topics including environmental biotechnology for waste and wastewater treatment, remediation of heavy metal contaminated lands, electrochemical advanced oxidation. In addition to a long-standing interest in research, Ding also has a strong interest in teaching. He currently is teaching a course in the Department on "Biological and ecological technology in environmental remediation". He is also developing other courses in microbiological technology and ecological engineering.Ding has authored/co-authored more than 90 publications in his area of expertise and have presented at several national and international conferences.
